Galapagos Islands
The Galapagos Islands are located after the coast of Ecuador and are directly on the equator. The islands were visit by Charles Darwin and provided him with inspiration that later led to the Theory of Evolution. The islands have a wide variety of unique wildlife which are not afraid of humans thanks to their isolation and limits on the number of visits. I spent a week on a boat touring around the islands and seeing the spectacular array of wildlife.
