I love to travel around the world and see historic places, try new things and experience other cultures. By the time I'm 40 I intended to have visited 100 countries, but I've only made it to 51 so far.

I take a lot of photos.

I grew up in England - Canterbury and Knebworth for most of the time. I went to university in Durham and then shortly after graduating moved to the USA where I've been living ever since.

Professionally I'm a software engineer. At Microsoft I worked on Windows XP, Speech Server, Windows Media Center, Windows Vista and finally Zune.

In September 2007 I joined the iPhone group at Apple. I'm now a contented Mac user.

I read a lot and try and average one book a week. The long commute to work each day is certainly helping with that.

I like cooking and try and cook most weekends. Often I'll try and recreate something that I had while travelling with mixed results.
